The reconfiguration, refurbishment and extension of Volac’s international headquarters have provided impressive, light and airy new offices that transformed the quality of the working environment and raised the image of the company.

 

The works were carefully sequenced to allow continued occupation throughout the works and critically, the HQ comms room was upgraded whilst multiple manufacturing sites across Europe remained connected and operational. The project delivered additional accommodation featuring:

 

• Welcoming, spacious reception area with formal and informal seating

• Efficient layout making best use of views and daylight

• Flexible, open plan office space and versatile meeting/seminar rooms featuring moveable walls

• Low glare lighting and acoustic controls enhancing occupant comfort

• Ergonomic furniture allowing agile working for optimum private and team working functionality

• Staff welfare facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, a gym, showers, a library, break out spaces and landscaped external seating area

• Ongoing space planning for additional workstations including hot desking provisions

• Extension feasibility studies

• Acoustic improvements in connection with the above

• Board room refurbishment

• Video conference room reconfiguration
